A process agent acts as a UK-based representative for the service of legal notices or proceedings under a contract.

This is commonly required in cross-border transactions where one or more parties are based outside England and Wales, but the agreement is governed by English law or gives jurisdiction to the English courts.

Point Processing accepts service of process on behalf of appointing parties and promptly forwards any notices received in accordance with the appointment terms.

1. Calculate your fee

Select the number of appointors, appointment term and agreement type.

2. Complete the online form

Enter the appointment details through Click & Appoint. You can also upload your own letter template if required.

3. Make payment

You can pay online immediately or submit the form without payment and our team will contact you to finalise the appointment.

4. Receive your signed letter

Once payment and the required details are received, we will issue the signed process agent appointment letter. Where required, we can also send the original to the lender, solicitor, broker or other relevant party.

Many appointments are completed the same day, and standard online appointments can often be processed very quickly once the required details and payment are received. If your matter is urgent, please use Click & Appoint or contact us directly.

This depends on the wording required by the parties and how the agreements are structured. In some cases, one appointment can cover related agreements. In other cases, separate appointments may be required. If you are unsure, send us the relevant wording or agreement details and we can confirm.
